ARC Raiders Best Rusted Gear Farm Spots on Every Map Explained

JAmeSCartEr511 3 天前 阅读 3106
If you have been trying to push your Gunsmith weapons workbench to Tier 3 in ARC Raiders, you already know the pain of looking for Rusted Gear. It is one of those high-value, brutally rare upgrade materials that feels like it never drops when you actually need it. Even though the game officially labels it as an Industrial or Mechanical zone spawn, the reality is that you cannot just run around opening random boxes and hoping for the best.
Rusted Gear shares its spawn pool with the incredibly common Rusted Tools. If you want to find the good stuff, you have to target specific objects and run precise routes. You are primarily looking to breach car hoods, trucks, buses, yellow electric trailers, and certain cube-shaped industrial machines. To save you some time and a lot of frustrating extractions, here is a complete breakdown of the absolute best farming spots across every single map in the game.
The Blue Gate Map: Best Overall Farm
If you are looking for pure volume, Blue Gate is the undisputed king. It is widely considered the absolute best map for farming Rusted Gear simply because of how many vehicle spawns are packed into it. However, high reward means high risk, so keep your eyes peeled.
Warehouse Complex Underground (The Underpass)
This is arguably the single best gear-per-minute farming spot in the entire game. It is a massive underground parking facility that holds over 40 breachable vehicles crammed into one tight area. The sheer density here gives you the highest mathematical chance of walking away with multiple gears in a single run. To get in safely, look for the zipline inside the main Warehouse Complex—it drops you right down into the action.
The Checkpoint
Located right next to the underpass, The Checkpoint is a high-tier loot zone. The beautiful thing about high-tier zones in ARC Raiders is that the baseline loot pool gets an upgrade. This means the game frequently swaps out those annoying, low-value Rusted Tools for the rarer Rusted Gears you actually want. Just be careful—this is a notorious PvP hot zone, and you are highly likely to run into other squads trying to do the exact same thing.
Dam Battlegrounds Map: Most Reliable Solo Spots
If Blue Gate is feeling a bit too sweaty or heavily contested by full squads, the Dam map is your best alternative. It does not have the massive, concentrated vehicle clusters of Blue Gate, but it offers highly specific, isolated spawns that are incredibly reliable for solo players.
Power Generation Complex (The Twin Buses)
Found near the North Exit elevator, you will find two abandoned buses sitting parallel to each other. Don't just walk past them. If you go to the back of these buses and breach the luggage compartments, they have a near 90% drop rate for Rusted Gear. Because it is right next to an extraction point, this makes for a perfect "spawn in, check the buses, and instantly extract" solo rotation.
Primary Facility Underground
Make your way into the underground loading dock section by using the Floodgate catwalks. Once you are down there, ignore the generic loot and focus your attention on the cube-shaped breachable machinery. You should also search the open-sided storage containers that house searchable drawer units; they are hidden goldmines for mechanical components.
Hydroponic Dome Complex
This is a highly specific single-spawn location. Right between the two largest domes, there is a lone junk car sitting in the open. Make sure to breach both sides of this specific vehicle. For whatever reason, its spawn rate for high-tier mechanical loot is exceptionally high compared to other random cars on the map.
The Scrapyard
Tucked away on the southern side of the map, the Scrapyard is exactly what it sounds like—an area littered with broken-down cars and piles of mechanical trash. It is a slower, more tedious farm because the spawns are a bit more spread out, but it features very low player traffic. If you want a peaceful run, this is where you go.
Spaceport Map: Heavy Industrial Volume
Spaceport is highly industrial, which means you will be dealing with a lot of heavy containers and specialized facility infrastructure rather than standard civilian cars.
Vehicle Maintenance Building
When you enter this area, focus strictly on the large service vehicles, heavy trucks, and those distinct yellow electrical trailers parked inside and around the main garage. Breaching these industrial-grade targets gives you a much cleaner shot at Rusted Gear than standard crates.
Rocket Assembly & Container Storage
As you move through these massive warehouse spaces, get into the habit of checking the long sides of the shipping containers. Many of them feature built-in loot drawers that players frequently overlook while sprinting through the area.
Buried City Map: Lowest Risk
Buried City lacks the heavy industrial infrastructure of Spaceport or the massive vehicle density of Blue Gate, but it is an absolute haven for passive solo players who want to avoid fights.
The Parking Garage / Car Park
This is a multi-level structure filled with regular, everyday cars. Now, to be fair, the individual drop rate per car here is noticeably lower than what you will find in the Blue Gate underpass. However, because it is tucked away, it is an amazing place for a solo player to quietly crack open hoods, scoop up gears, and gather extra mechanical parts and metal scrap without drawing half the lobby to their position.
Broken Bridge Generator Room
Located near the Buried Properties landmark, you need to head directly under the bridge. Look for the large, yellow generator machines. Breaching these specific industrial units gives you a significantly upgraded tier drop chance, making it well worth the detour.
Pro Tips to Maximize Your Drop Rates
  • Launch Night Raids: If you are feeling confident, drop into maps during Night Raids or when Storm conditions are active. The game automatically boosts the baseline item rarity modifier of the lobby during these times, which significantly increases the chances of the loot pool swapping out standard trash items for Rusted Gears.
  • Abuse Your Safe Pocket: Because Rusted Gear is so brutally hard to find, do not take any chances. The literal second you pick one up, open your inventory and drag it directly into your Safe Pocket. If you get ambushed or lose a gunfight on your way to extraction, you still get to keep your gear for the workbench upgrade.
  • Check the Sides and Hoods: Stop looking for standard, glowing military crates. When you are looking for gears, look specifically for prompt interactions on the front hoods of civilian cars and the side maintenance panels or built-in drawers of industrial trailers and machinery.
